About MeGrowing up in a small town has been a wonderful experience. I attended Irma School and loved the community feel of a small town. Everyone is like family and we look after each other. Throughout my schooling we conducted school wide activities to show our school spirit. During these activities we made new friends and learned from older and younger students. Some of those learning experiences had a great impact on our lives because we learned them from our peers rather than our teachers. As a student we were able to build strong relationships with our teachers because we were able to see them everyday throughout our whole education.

Educational Philosophy
Learning should be inspiring and lifelong. This is why I am a teacher. I do this by building strong connections with my students, teaching organization skills for success, and educating students by scaffolding concepts and project based application. I feel these approaches lay the foundation needed for a successful start and further engage students so they can then recognize their own abilities.
Special Interests
DrawingI started drawing at a young age and have continued to build on my talents. I have taken a few university classes and love attending paint nights! These are a few examples of my artwork that I have completed within the past 10 years. |
